Cockroaches

More than 4,000 species of cockroaches are known to date. Although they can fly, they walk, but at high speed. Many live together in colonies and move around at night while transferring their eggs to a structure called an "egg sac".

Cockroaches are "cosmopolitan" insects and are often found in homes, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, offices, etc. They are omnivorous organisms, but have a particular preference for foods that contain sugar and starch. They survive without food for up to 1 month, but much less without water.

As omnivorous insects, they destroy and "contaminate" all kinds of food and the characteristic "mold" odor emitted by the infected food is characteristic. Cockroaches are known to be carriers of serious diseases, such as salmonella, dysentery, gastroenteritis and other stomach ailments. Rejected skin is transmitted through the air and can cause severe asthma reactions, especially in vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and people with bronchial disease.

Although hygiene and cleanliness are important deterrents, the appearance of cockroaches in an area does not depend solely on cleanliness as many mistakenly believe. They can appear even in the cleanest homes or business premises. Cockroaches and their eggs are spread everywhere, in food and other packaging.

The main species of cockroach found in Europe are:

Τάσος ζαφείρης , φυτώριο , σπορά γρασιδιού , ζωοτροφές , Απολύμανσης , Απεντομώσεις , Μυοκτονίες
