Snakes have an oblong cylindrical body, of various lengths, covered with scales or scales. Some of them are poisonous while feeding on animals and eggs, which they swallow whole.

Of the snake species that exist in Greece, only 5 species of viper from the Viperidae family carry dangerous venom. In case of infusion it can be fatal if not delivered to a hospital within a few hours for first aid. The other 2 venomous snakes of our country are the Honeysuckle or Catfish (Telescopus fallax) and the Sapitis (Malpolon monspessulanus) which are backwards, which means that they can hardly manage to bite by pouring on humans while their venom is weak.
