Ready-made lawn is grass that is cultivated and grown in selected plants. It usually consists of a mixture of different varieties of grass that is allowed to grow for at least 6 months before being cut. It is cut with special machines and has a thin layer of soil which is held by a special net.

Installation with ready-made turf presents significant advantages in relation to sowing:

  • Installs faster than sowing as it can be pressed in 10-15 days. In the case of sowing the minimum time required before pressing is 3 months.
  • Gives an immediate aesthetic result.
  • Installs at temperatures prohibiting sowing eg during winter or mid-summer.
  • The installation can be done on surfaces where sowing is impossible, such as steeply sloping surfaces.
  • The appearance of annual weeds is limited. Ready-made turf minimizes the appearance of annual weeds whose seeds are unable to germinate due to lack of light.
