The house mouse has a body length of 7.5-10.5 cm and a tail equal to its body. It is characterized by a sharp snout and a gray back. It can live and grow under various conditions and around houses and farms. Its nests are in dark places made of paper or clothes. Externally small holes may be drilled in the ground.
Under favorable conditions it reproduces throughout the year when it gives birth to up to 50 young in total. They are active during the night where they control every change in their space
It contaminates food preparation surfaces with its feces, which may contain the bacterium that causes food poisoning (salmonellosis). Their constant gnawing causes damage to buildings (insulation, wiring, piping, etc.).
He is the sewer mouse. Its body length is 22-26cm and its tail is 18-22cm. Its tail is shorter than its body and its back is brown.
It is found in warehouses, basements, stables, sewers, garbage dumps. Although it does not see well, it has a very good smell and hearing. It usually seeks its food away from its nest within a radius of 30-50 meters.
It lives in groups and multiplies rapidly. Each female gives birth to about 6-12 newborns which mature after 3 months. Their lifespan reaches 3 years.
The roof rat nests inside human structures such as building roofs and inside ships. In many regions of the country it also destroys tree crops.
Its body length is 17-24cm and its characteristic is the size of the tail, which is larger than its body length. The hair is colored infrared, from light gray to dark. It has a narrow snout, long ears and a tail longer than its body with numerous annular scales.
